HUAPAI GOLF CLUB
MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 1.1 These terms and conditions (Terms) set out the rules governing Huapai Golf Club membership and online membership payments.

MEMBER SIGNUP

2.1 Each membership sign up is subject to approval by the Board. Huapai Golf Club reserves the right to reject an application for any reason and will return any monies paid if it is rejected.

2.2 By signing up as a member, you agree to abide by the Rules and Constitution of the Club.

2.3 By registering you are becoming an affiliated member of New Zealand Golf, and a member of Huapai Golf Club implying full acceptance of these Terms, including any changes that may be made to the Terms from time to time.

2.4 To become a Huapai Golf Club member, the person must register and provide the information requested accurately. Personal information provided at the time of registration is presumed to be true and correct. It is your responsibility to update personal information as and when necessary.

2.5 Persons may only register once. Registration is for a single person only.

2.6 Huapai Golf Club members consent to the disclosure of their personal information, including but not limited to their name and golf scores to New Zealand Golf and to any member who logs into the Huapai Golf Club website.

2.7 By signing up, you authorise Golf New Zealand and Huapai Golf Club to use your email address for email communication. You may opt out any time.

2.8 On completion of the membership sign up process you will immediately be entitled to use your chosen membership entitlements for the category chosen.

2.9 For Intermediate and Junior categories, proof of age will be required after sign-up. Our administration team will contact you.

MEMBERSHIP

3.1 You agree to join Huapai Golf Club for the period of 12 months from the date of your sign up.

3.2 Your Huapai Golf Club membership will continue indefinitely until cancelled.

3.3 Membership fees are increased annually, and you will be charged the latest Membership fee at renewal

MEMBERSHIP ENTITLEMENTS AND BENEFITS

4.4 See the benefits listed on the Membership Prices and categories page  

4.5 As an affiliate of New Zealand Golf, your membership entitles you to an official New Zealand Golf handicap, a 7-digit ID number will provide you access to golf.co.nz, access to New Zealand Golf App and Tee Booking App, and receive any benefits associated with New Zealand Golf promotions and New Zealand Golf’s partner promotions.

4.6 If you were previously a member of our club, or another golf club, you can obtain your history of scores.

4.7 As a member of an official affiliated club of New Zealand Golf, you are entitled to an offer for affiliated green fee rates, noting an offer for affiliated green fee rates are at the full discretion of a golf club.

BILLING CARD

5.1 When you pay using your debit or credit card, the system automatically stores your credit card details to enable you to pay for the same / other services on the site. Credit card details are stored under heavy encryption by a third party payment provider, Smartpay, and not on the DotGolf system. Read the Smartpay privacy policy here

INSTALMENT PAYMENTS

6.1 If you are paying by debit or with a credit card, and have chosen the instalment payment schedule, you agree to be charged monthly on your nominated billing card, and to pay for the applicable online transaction fee.

6.2 If the instalment option is available and you have chosen it as the payment schedule; you agree to commit to the full term of the contract to cover the full subscription (i.e. contract cannot be cancelled before the full term).

FEES

7.1 You agree to pay a membership subscription fee, as set out on the club website and on the member signup form.

7.2 If paying by debit/credit card, fees will be charged and billed to your nominated debit/credit card.

7.3 If paying online through the club website, you agree to pay the applicable online transaction fee(s).

OVERDUE PAYMENTS

8.1 If your credit card payment or direct debit payment hasn’t been processed, we will communicate with you to settle your account, so you can continue to receive the benefits of being a Huapai Golf Club member.

8.2 It is your responsibility to keep your account in funds and to pay all of your own bank fees, including any fees which your bank charges if your account is overdrawn because of our direct debit. If any of your direct debits or credit card payments fail, we will either add the outstanding sum to the next direct debit or make additional direct debits to recover the overdue amount.

8.3 If your account with us is more than 30 days in arrears, we will resign you from your Huapai Golf Club membership, with or without notice. You will also be marked as unfinancial until you pay the outstanding amount.

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU

9.1 You have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Other than those rights and the rights given to you under this contract: we will not be liable to you for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage or injury of any kind to you or your property; however it arises. Compensation for personal injury by accident in New Zealand is covered by The Accident Compensation Act 2001.

9.2 We will not be obliged to give you any refund of fees paid for your membership if you fail to use your membership or terminate early, before the end of your subscription period.

MEMBER RESIGNATION

10.1 If you want to resign as a member from Huapai Golf Club, please contact the club.

10.2 At any time, we can resign your membership immediately by giving you notice in writing or by email if we reasonably believe you have seriously breached an important term of this contract, including:

  1. if your account with us is more than 30 days in arrears (you will also be marked as unfinancial until you pay the outstanding amount)
  2. breaching any rules such as carrying out any illegal, offensive, or unsafe activity on the premises of any affiliated Golf New Zealand club.
  3. If we do terminate your membership under this clause because of your serious breach of this contract, we are still entitled to recover our costs and losses under this contract.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

11.1 Huapai Golf Club may change or delete any of these Terms at any time.

11.2 Huapai Golf Club members are responsible for checking the Terms regularly to review any such changes.

11.3 Continued membership in Huapai Golf Club following the publication of any changes to the Terms confirms members' acceptance of those changes.
