hole 2: 358 metre par 4 index 2
A tight driving hole with out of bounds on the right and trees guarding the left. A nicely contoured green is guarded by two bunkers that challenge your approach. Par is always a good score on this hole. |
hole 3: 120 metre par 3 index 16
A short hole that is well guarded by bunkers left, right and in front. Looks easy but don't underestimate it. A well struck shot can set up a birdie. |
hole 4 315 metre par 4 index 18
Generally plays down wind and a good tee shot can set you up for a birdie. However the fairway is protected by large trees that can punish an offline shot. |
hole 5: 352 metre par 4 index 14
Out of bounds on the left but lots of room to the right. The green is long and narrow and requires an accurate iron shot. Be careful with your club selection as the length of the green can affect the choice of club. |
hole 6: 390 metre par 4 index 4A straight hole that generally plays into the wind. A wide fairway offers plenty of room for the tee shot. Requires two well struck shots to reach the green which has a lake close behind it. |
hole 7 : 155 metre par 3 index 12
A very good par 3 requiring a well struck tee shot. The green is protected in the front right by a deep bunker. If playing to the left beware of the false front to the green which can affect the choice of club |
hole 8: 352 metre par 4 index 6
Place your drive down the left and you can pick up some extra distance. The green is well defended by bunkers and is subtly contoured. |
hole 9: 342 par index 10
A dog leg left with a pond on the left and a large tree in the middle of the fairway. A steep bank on the left is best avoided. This hole provides the first glimpse of the scenic part of the course. |
hole 10: 184 par 3 index 11
A tough down hill par 3 that provides a superb view of the upper harbour. Dolphins have been spotted in this area. A small gazebo provides a sheltered spot to sit and enjoy the view on those occasions when there is a delay in play. |
hole 11: 336 metre par 4 index 3
Known as the "Devils Elbow" this hole provides an unusual test. A right hand dog leg to an elevated and well protected green. Offers the choice of playing an iron shot off the tee and laying up or gambling with a blind tee shot over the corner that can shorten the hole but can also punish a less than well stuck shot. Par is a welcome score on this hole. |
hole 12: 247 metre par 4 index 17
An excellent "short hole" that provides a risk and reward challenge. The green can be driven but with out of bounds on the left and a rough area short of the green a slightly off line shot will be punished. Another option is to lay up to the right leaving a short pitch into the green. |
hole 13: 378 metre par 4 index 1
A tough par 4 requiring an up hill tee shot played over a lake. The green is well defended in front by a deep bunker. A bail out area to the right offers a chance to salvage par with a chip and a putt. |
hole 14: 299 par 4 index 13
A short par 4 to a well bunkered green. The green slopes left to right and this affects the placement of the second shot. |
hole 15: 333 metre par 4 index 7
A dog leg left that requires a tight up hill drive. The second is down hill to a green that slopes away from the fairway. Be careful of the bunker on the right as it regularly catches shots hit slightly right of centre. |
hole 16: 115 metre par 3 index 15
|
hole 17: 315metre par 4 index 9
Generally played into the wind this hole rewards a well struck tee shot with a down hill slope that provides extra distance. Second shot is played from a down hill lie to an elevated green. Take enough club. |
hole 18: 472 metre par 5 index 5
An excellent finishing hole. This is a very strategic par 5. The hole requires a tight tee shot played between a lake on the right and out of bounds on the left. Cross bunkers challenge the second shot. A great finish to the round. |
